关于这个问题我没有完整的答案，因为我也不确定答案是什么。但根据我的看法，40%似乎是鼓励对手花钱追逐听牌的一个好的临界点，因此，这种下注有可能让对手弃牌，也允许你在不泄露自己牌力的情况下更多地去c-bet。如果对手不在乎你的下注尺度或是你的下注频率，而你又认为你能够更大尺度的c-bet能够得到跟注或弃牌，你可以下注更多。但是，在理想化的打法中，大额c-bet不能经常使用，因为我认为你无法做到平衡。
这取决于你要达到的目的，如果筹码相对底池大小而言较浅，而你又打算三条街都开火，那么较小尺度的下注更有效。如果你试图用你的100BB打到全压，期待被更差的牌跟注，推荐使用更大尺度的c-bet。对手可能的反应会根据公共牌特征，筹码尝度，读牌等常见因素而变化。
如果你倾向于小额c-bet，你会得到更多的跟注。而你的大多数c-bet是希望对方弃牌的。所以，我认为大多数情况下应该下得大一点。另外，在翻牌圈我不希望给对方3:1（或者更高）的底池赔率。
