Bluff（诈唬），是扑克中最容易用、运用得最多的技巧。也是因为bluff很简单，才使很多人认为扑克是一个运气主导的游戏；但实际上，bluff是一门极其易用又极难精的技巧，很多人就是因为太过热衷于Bluff而有所损失，现在容我略说一下Bluff要注意些什么吧。
1别Bluff不能Bluff的人
一个没有位置就拿底对跟注底池大小下注（Pot sized bet）的人，或者拿着中对就跟三条街的人，还有喜欢一直下注的人，都不是应该Bluff的对象，你要做的，是拿手好牌，让他们Bluff你/跟你的价值下注。应该Bluff的对象，是那些Fit or Fold的、会弃牌的人。
2注意对方的思维级别
要了解对手是不是有判断你的手牌范围的能力。Bluff的目的，是要对方相信你拿着比他好的牌，而让他弃掉实际上比你好的牌。也就是说，如果对方是只看自已手牌的人，你根本Bluff不了。
3要注意牌面
通常牌面抽牌味道重的比较难Bluff，因为对方可能认为你在semi-bluff（半诈唬）而跟注甚至re-raise，也有可能对方反semi-bluff你。如果是XXY的牌面，双方的手牌范围有没有X和Y这张牌；如果对方有Y会不会跟；对方会不会相信你有X这张牌；对方会不会慢玩引你Bluff等等都是你需要考虑的。
4注意自身的形象
如果你的形象是松凶的，那么还是少点Bluff比较好，别人不相信你有牌，自然不会弃牌。
5注意的对方的手牌范围
如果对方常玩AX的，牌面有A就别bluff了；如果对方常玩投机牌的，牌面认为对方miss了的话可以Bluff一下。
7注意位置
除非以上种种条件齐全，否则没有位置，就少点Bluff。
7注意Bluf的次数
这和自身的形象是结合的，当你下注的次数多了，对手就会开始怀疑你的手牌而跟你的下注了。
8注意底池筹码量
如果对方已经投入了不少筹码，没有多少筹码余下，那就别Bluff了，对方弃不了的。
9注意Bluff的下注量
这绝对不是越多越好，向一个20bb的底池下注50bb，对方也会奇怪你下注这么多，是不想别人跟还是想别人跟；同样地，向一个20bb的底池下注1bb，即使对方手牌再弱也有可能会跟。Bluff的筹码量，应该要和你真的有牌时所作的价值下注差不多，让对方猜不出你的是价值下注还是Bluff。
10注意Bluff的种类
没事还是别拿空气Bluff三条街，可能的话，还是用semi-bluff吧。
Bluff不是鱼的行为，在错误的位置拿错误的手牌对错误的对手Bluff才是。
还有，该Bluff时还是要Bluff的，别怕被抓Bluff，要知道，即使是最高级别的玩家，还是会Bluff和被抓Bluff的。
